Monthly Meeting


Shadforth WI meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Shadforth Village Hall, near the city of Durham.

Monthly meetings include:

- Chat
- Competitions

Each meeting costs £2 (payable on the door).  This includes refreshments (tea/coffee and biscuits, which WI members take it in turns to serve).

Competitions at Monthly Meeting

  • Monthly Competition  
Bring along an item relevant to the talk (see Programme for which item).  

The winner is decided by the speaker, or sometimes a coin vote (coins going to good causes, such as ACWW).

  • Door Prize  
Decided by a draw of the names of everyone who has come that evening.  Just turn up to enter!

  • Year Prize  
Points are allocated over the year for entering and winning the monthly competitions.  The person with the most points wins!
