About SWI, How to Join & Activities

There's lots to get involved in!

Shadforth WI's Monthly Meeting is on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Shadforth Village Hall, near the city of Durham.

There's lots to get involved in, for women of all ages.  Visitors can come to three meetings before you join so come along and give it a try!

For more information get in touch via the Facebook page or just turn up on the night.

Joining Shadforth WI means you are part of a huge national organisation that offers a lot to do and makes a real difference. Benefits of membership include access to activities locally, regionally and nationally - there's so much to try! Also, the free monthly magazine WI Life, welcome pack and book of vouchers.

Membership is open to anyone, whether living in or outside Shadforth.  It is valid from January to December, but there are reductions for new members who join later in the year.  For current fees see: www.thewi.org.uk

The membership fee is split between the local, regional and national WI (for example in 2016 of the £37.50 membership £18 was kept by the local institute, £8.40 went to the local federation and £11.10 went to NFWI).

It is also possible to become a Dual Member of two WIs, to have full voting rights in both WIs. Please enquire for current prices.
